Parks and Gardens in Belfast

There are over forty public parks in Belfast. And 'most popular is the Botanical Garden. There are several attractions of the park, including the Palm House built by Sir Charles Lanyon 1830 and Tropical Ravine. At public events are also held here, ranging from the acts of the opera to rock concerts. Tennents Vital Festival, another major attraction, which takes place every summer in the gardens. Just south of downtown is the Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park. Thousands of visitors each year to see the Rose Garden. The park contains many gardens including a Japanese garden and the Princess Diana Memorial Garden. The park is famous for its range of view in which there are over twenty thousand roses in bloom. Woodvale Park is a public park has been open since 1888. There are a number of recreational facilities such as soccer fields, play areas and bowling has its own very personal. In West Belfast, overlooking the River Colin Glen, there Carnamore Park which is a grassy open space surrounded by trees. Offering excellent walking, there is a path along the river and extends to the playing fields in Suffolk. The walk can go to the playground and back to Carnanmore goes around the edge of the forest plots. Belfast Botanic Gardens is located near homes in the Queen's University, one of the oldest green Victorian houses in Europe, having been built in the 1800s. Botanical gardens are also a place of public meeting place for the people of Belfast and has been since 1895. The gardens are renowned for the breadth of the garden of roses and given its location in the city, is also a meeting place for adults, students and children. Botanic gardens are some recreational facilities, including a playground and a bowling alley.
